What is Vitamin C good for, and how does Vitamin C help the immune system?
Vitamin C functions as an antioxidant to help support the immune system by neutralizing free radicals in the body. Vitamin C also increases Iron absorption from food, and plays an integral part in collagen synthesis, which helps support healthy skin.
What is Zinc good for?
Zinc is an essential mineral that provides antioxidant support, and is necessary to support the body’s natural defense system.
What is Vitamin D good for?
Vitamin D is one of the best known vitamins for immune system support. This essential nutrient is critical in supporting your body’s natural immune defenses, and supporting immune cell function. Not to mention it also supports your bone, teeth, muscle health, and plays a vital role in helping the body absorb Calcium. And Vitamin D3 (the form found in this product), is the body’s preferred form of Vitamin D.
How much Vitamin C should I take per day?
The recommended daily value for Vitamin C is 90 mg/day. [2] But an individual’s requirement may be higher due to various factors such as age, gender, activity level, lifestyle factors, and different life stages. Check out our blog for more information about how much Vitamin C you should take per day.
How much Vitamin D should I take per day?
The Institute of Medicine recommends 15–20 mcg (600–800 IU) of Vitamin D daily to support bone health. The Endocrine Society recommends 37.5–50 mcg (1500–2000 IU) of Vitamin D daily for adults to generally meet their daily nutrient needs. However, your needs may vary depending on your age, gender, activity level, lifestyle factors, and life stage. Click here for more information on how much Vitamin D you should take per day. [3]

Do you get enough Vitamin D from the sun?
Sunlight provides the main source of Vitamin D, however, many health experts recommend getting Vitamin D from food sources and supplements, to avoid the damaging effects the sun’s rays can have on the skin. Read more about how much Vitamin D you really get from the sun, why so many people still aren’t getting enough of this critical nutrient, and how Vitamin D supplements can help.
Where does Nature Made® source its Vitamin C?
The Vitamin C in this product is sourced predominately from ascorbic acid and zinc ascorbate. Please refer to product label for more source information.
What is EpiCor®, and what does it do?
EpiCor® is a clinically proven postbiotic that supports nasal health, respiratory wellness, and a healthy immune response.
What are postbiotics?
Postbiotics are bioactive compounds made when the healthy bacteria in your gut consume prebiotics and fermented fiber. Many of the health benefits associated with prebiotics and probiotics actually come from the production of postbiotics. As beneficial bugs in the intestines, they feed on various types of prebiotic food in your colon, such as fiber. The result of that consumption and fermentation is what is known as postbiotics. Although these bioactive compounds are considered the waste products of probiotic bacteria, they offer various health benefits to your body.
What is Elderberry good for?
Elderberries contain anthocyanins, which are known to have antioxidant properties. Among the berries, Elderberries have approximately 3 times the amount of anthocyanins as compared to red raspberries and 6 times the amount of anthocyanins as compared to strawberries. The Nature Made® Difference

The Sleep and Immunity Connection

Your immune system is there to support you. So how does sleep help immune system function? When you have a good night’s sleep, your body feels well rested. Conversely, when your body does not get enough rest, you might feel tired and run down.

The Sleep and Immunity Connection

The impact of stress on immune system function might be more than you realize. Stress can affect you mentally and physically. When the body feels stressed, you might not be able to relax so that you can sleep. When you don’t sleep well, your immune health might need support. By supporting your stress management routine, you can also help support your sleep and immune health.

Nature Made® Wellblends™

Your immune health needs are unique. Nature Made® Wellblends™ is a wide-ranging line of scientifically designed blends that target your specific sleep, stress and immune system support needs.
