What is Stress?

Occasional stress happens sometimes as your body deals with challenging situations. Stress is your body’s built-in mechanisms for dealing with life’s scenarios, in which your body produces mental and physical responses to help adjust with the change.

How it Happens

When you face a challenging circumstance or event your body triggers the “fight or flight” response that releases hormones (cortisol and adrenaline) to help you respond. Some common causes of stress include work, financial burdens, relationships, moving, or traumatic events.

Collectively, the B vitamins help break down food into energy your body can use all day long. But individually, they all play specific roles in the body. Although the amount of Ashwagandha in one serving of Calm and Relax™ is 125 mg per serving, we recommend not exceeding one serving per day (2 capsules) in order to stay within recommended limits of Magnesium intake per day. If you are pregnant, nursing, or taking medications, consult your physician before use.
How much Magnesium should I take daily?
Magnesium has been identified as a common dietary shortfall, which means that Magnesium supplementation is important for many people. Health experts recommend a daily intake of 400–420 mg/day for men and 310–320 mg/day for women.[2]

The Nature Made® Difference

Support for Managing Stress

Occasional stress can happen to anyone at any time. Yet how we cope with stress can affect how we feel mentally and physically. How we feel can then impact our sleep and immune system.

How Does Stress Affect the Immune System?

How the body reacts to stress is different for everyone. Stress can impact your body’s natural defenses, and it can also impact your sleep. When we’re stressed, we might not feel our best, and when we don’t feel our best, we might not get a good night’s rest. Sleep, stress and immune system function are all interconnected, so you might need support to help maintain balance.

Nature Made® Wellblends™

Your stress relief needs are unique. Nature Made® Wellblends™ is a wide-ranging line of scientifically designed blends that target your specific sleep, stress and immune system support needs.†
