Questions? We've got answers.
What does vitamin A do?
Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin that is necessary for eye development and normal functioning of the retina, the component of the eye that interprets light.† Since vitamin A is needed for low-light conditions, normal functioning of the retina, and seeing colors appropriately, severe vitamin A shortfall can ultimately lead to blindness.
How much vitamin A should I take daily?
Take one softgel daily, with a meal.
Where does vitamin A come from?
Good food sources of vitamin A include cod liver oil, fortified breakfast cereals, eggs, sweet potatoes, cantaloupe and spinach. Yellow and orange-colored vegetables are good food sources of carotenoids, which are precursors to vitamin A (such as beta-carotene).
What forms of vitamin A are in Nature Made products?
The vitamin A in our vitamin A softgels is in the form of retinyl palmitate. The vitamin A in our multivitamins and other products is in the form of retinyl acetate and beta carotene.
When does this product expire?
Please refer to the expiration date on the bottle.
