How to read a supplement label

Updated three weeks ago

Supplement labels can be confusing, but we're here to help! The back of every supplement package contains a supplement facts box. This box includes the serving size of the product and the amount of servings in the package. Below that, it lists the nutrients that are in the product, the amount of nutrients in each serving, and - where applicable - the percent of the daily value (DV). Note that DV is the recommended amount of each nutrient by FDA for a typical adult, each individual's needs may be different, so it's important to consult with your health care provider.
