Different approaches work for different people, so we asked our Nature Made® Staffers for their tips on how to reduce stress. I currently use different strategies to manage stress effectively depending on the type of stress I can identify.

When I feel unfocused, sluggish, or tired, I look at what I eat. My body reacts negatively to certain foods: carbs, processed foods, and cheese, so I try to avoid them during work. I respond better to healthy snacks in smaller portions and consume them more frequently while drinking plenty of water.

I also get restless from sitting at a desk for long periods. For stress relief in the office, I will stand and stretch, take a short walk, or practice deep breathing exercises. The great thing about deep breathing is that I can do it anywhere and release tension in my lower back and shoulders.

Adequate rest is vital for when I’m looking to de stress, but there are lots of different ways to get it. Napping is one way I reset physically, but I also enjoy doing something that involves a process—like polishing my car or assembling a model in 3D.

On restless nights when I can’t sleep, instead of a glass of wine, I opt for Nature Made® Melatonin 2.5 mg Gummies. I tested different amounts and found that 2.5 mg works best for me, but a different amount may be best for you. It is essential to understand that stress affects everyone differently, and finding out what works for you will help you to manage it for a healthier lifestyle.

Managing my stress levels is one of my top priorities. I've experimented with many things over the years, and these tips work best for me at this time in my life.

First, I aim for 8 hours of sleep each night. I can better manage stress after a good night's rest. I take my dog for a walk in the morning to start the day with fresh air, sunlight, and movement, which helps me feel better and more balanced throughout the day. I also take time in the middle of the day and after work to decompress by getting outside, stretching, doing a quick Pilates workout, doing yoga for stress relief, or going for a short walk. It can be tough to step away from work, but I always feel more energized when I do.

For some, meditation for stress relief can be useful, but when I'm pressed for time, I bring small moments of mindfulness into my day. It's simple: I take a few deep breaths, ground into my feet, and think of a few things I am grateful for. I have found gratitude to be a great way to relieve stress!

On those days when I need extra support, I love our Nature Made® Wellblends Stress Relief Gummies, which work within one hour, and our new Calm Mind & Body Gummies that help me relax my mind and body.†

Weekday mornings can feel like a race against the clock when I need to drop off my toddler at school before heading into the office, especially when he throws his breakfast on the floor or refuses to get dressed! As he's running around the house with one shoe on, I take a few deep, restorative breaths and then reach for our Nature Made® Wellblends Stress Relief Gummies, which taste great and help me de stress within the hour with its combination of L-theanine and GABA.†

After what can sometimes be an hours-long process of getting my son to bed, I like to unwind with a cup of herbal stress relief tea and a good book, put on some stress reducing music, and I'll jot down some things in my gratitude journal. Our Nature Made® Wellblends Calm & Relax capsules, which provide Ashwagandha and Magnesium, and some calming aromatherapy, like Lavender Oil, help me relax before bed.

The Bottom Line

These tips on how to relieve stress work for our staffers, and they may work for you! A combination of stress management techniques and occasional stress reducing supplements may give you the help you need to simply enjoy your day.
