Product Details

Ubiquinol CoQ10 is the reduced form of CoQ10 and is the newest member of Nature Made’s CoQ10 product line. Ubiquinol has been studied for the role it plays in helping to maintain heart function.

There are two forms of CoQ10: ubiquinol and ubiquinone. Ubiquinone is the oxidized form of CoQ10 and is the form found in most CoQ10 supplements. Ubiquinol is the reduced form of CoQ10. In the body, CoQ10 exists either in its oxidized form, ubiquinone, or in its reduced form, ubiquinol. When oxidized CoQ10 (ubiquinone) is used by the body, it transforms and becomes ubiquinol. In the same way, reduced CoQ10 (ubiquinol) becomes ubiquinone when it carries out its role in the body.

Ubiquinol may be important for people taking cholesterol-lowering statin drugs because statin drugs can reduce CoQ10 levels in the body.

  • Helps support heart function and cellular energy production
  • May be important for people taking cholesterol-lowering statin drugs, which can inhibit CoQ10 production in the body
