What dietary shortfalls does this product address?

Recent studies show that very few children are meeting the AI (adequate intake) for fiber in their daily diet. [1]

For kids, the requirement for fiber varies with age. A general rule for kids is 14 grams for every 1,000 calories consumed.

For example:

  • Children 1 to 3 years: 19 grams of fiber/day.
  • Children 4 to 8 years: 25 grams of fiber/day.
  • Boys 9 to 13 years: 31 grams of fiber/day.
  • Girls 9 to 13 years: 26 grams of fiber/day.
  • Boys 14 to 19 years: 38 grams of fiber/day.
  • Girls 14 to 19 years: 26 grams of fiber/day.

Questions? VIEW ALL FAQ

See our frequently asked questions below:

  • How does fiber help support digestive health?

Inulin, a soluble fiber (like the kind found in this Kids First® Gummy) acts like a prebiotic in your digestive tract by supporting the growth of beneficial gut bacteria.
  • Will Kids First® Fiber Gummies cause gas or bloating?

Every individual is different, but if minor gas or bloating occurs, simply reduce your child’s daily serving. To avoid abdominal discomfort, gradually increase your child’s intake of fiber and consume adequate water.
  • How many gummies should my kids take per day?

We recommend you follow the suggested dosage found on each bottle. If you choose to take higher or lower doses than found on the label, make sure your personal healthcare professional is aware of the supplements and dosages you are taking and fiber intake is increased gradually along with fluid intake. Please remember that Kids First® Gummies are not candy and keep them out of the reach of children.
  • Are the Kids First® Gummies gluten free? Do they use artificial colors and/or flavors? What about their sugar content?

Most Kids First® Gummies are gluten free and only use natural flavors and colors derived from natural sources (no synthetic dyes). Our gummies contain approximately 1-3 grams of sugar and 5-15 calories per gummy. Please refer to the label for calorie and sugar content in your product. This amount, when consumed as part of a healthy diet, should not be a concern. If your children are sensitive to sugar, please check with a healthcare professional about incorporating gummies into your daily plan.
