Our commitment to science extends to the very top of our company, and includes reaching out to some of the most respected names in the field. The Nature Made Scientific Advisory Board plays a critical role in our ongoing dialogue on the latest scientific findings in nutrition as well as providing counsel on the formulation of new vitamin and dietary supplement products.

Jeffrey B. Blumberg, PhD, FACN, FASN, CNS
Senior Scientist and Director of the Antioxidants Research Laboratory at the Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging and Professor in the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University.
Dr. Blumberg has worked with a variety of national and international organizations on food and nutrition issues, including the US Food and Drug Administration, National Institutes of Health, US Olympic Committee, Food and Agriculture Organization, and the World Health Organization.

 

Susan Finn, PhD, RD, LD, FADA
Chairman of Finnparks & Associates, a consulting firm dedicated to helping communicate scientific advances in food and nutrition; Adjunct Professor at Ohio State University in the College of Education and Human Ecology, and Board Member in the Food Innovation Center at Ohio State University College of Agriculture.
In addition, Dr. Finn also previously led the American Council for Fitness & Nutrition as President and CEO, and is a past president of the American Dietetic Association.

 

Mary L. Hardy, MD
Dr. Hardy has served as a complementary and alternative medicine expert for a number of research projects conducted by the Evidence Based Practice Center at the RAND Corporation, and is a leader in the field of botanical medicine.

 

Kevin C. Maki, PhD
Chief Science Officer, Provident Clinical Research/Biofortis North America.
Dr. Maki is a nationally recognized cholesterol expert and author who has conducted more than 200 clinical studies and has published more than 150 scientific papers, books and book chapters in the areas of nutrition and preventive cardiology.

 

Connie M. Weaver, PhD
Distinguished Professor and Head of the Department of Foods & Nutrition at Purdue University. 
Dr Weaver serves as Deputy Director of the Indiana Clinical and Translational Science Institute, and Director of a Botanical Center studying dietary supplements for age-related diseases.   She also served on the 2005 U.S. Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee.
