Joint Health Tips From Denise Austin
Joint Health Tips From Denise Austin Your joint health is vital to your quality of life and for feeling your best. Fitness expert Denise Austin shares five easy tips to help optimize your joint health.

Tip #1: Stretch and Flex Today
Stretching isn’t just for workouts anymore. Daily stretching is crucial for helping to keep joints mobile and flexible. Take “flex” breaks throughout the day to help keep your muscles and ligaments flexible and strong. Consider using Denise’s favorite stretching tool, an elastic flex band. “What I really love about the bands is that they are easy on the joints, says Denise. “They are the perfect choice for people with joint discomfort because they provide gentle, yet consistent, resistance through a wide range of motion.”

Tip #2: Move Your Body
Exercise protects joints by strengthening the muscles around them. Strong muscles keep your joints from rubbing against one another, wearing down cartilage. One of the best ways to help your joints is through low-impact activities, such as walking. Walking can reduce joint pain and stiffness, build strong muscles around the joints and increase flexibility and endurance.

Tip #3: Be Diet and Supplement Savvy
Try to make eating healthy as easy as possible by keeping precut veggies and fruits in your refrigerator or take them in snack bags to work. And, take a quality joint supplement that can naturally replenish your body with key nutrients needed for daily maintenance and renewal of joints. Denise recommends Nature Made TripleFlex® a supplement that provides joint comfort, mobility and flexibility in as little as seven days.*†

Tip #4: Get Properly Equipped
Make sure you have the right pair of shoes for good support and comfortable exercise clothing before you start an exercise program. It is also important to have a watch with a second hand, stopwatch or a pedometer to help you track your walking progress.

Tip #5: Reward Yourself
Set small, achievable goals. And, congratulate yourself for those successes. Be proud of your ability to increase your walking time to 20 or 30 minutes a day or to eat more healthfully. “Be constantly on the lookout for the little successes,” says Denise. “They will serve as the kindling that fuels your desire and motivation to stay on track.”

* Chondroitin Complex contains Chondroitin Sulfate and White Willow Bark that helps relieve joint discomfort in as little as 7 days.
